This may not surprise any one out there but your hair salon and dental office are hazardous places to work.
In fact according to studies the rate of shoulder, neck, and arm conditions are through the roof for dental workers, including your dentist and people in the hair stylist community.
The common link?
Posture.
In an article from the Oxford Journal, it was reported that salon workers suffer a sky high rate of shoulder, neck and upper back conditions.[ref]Self-reported work-related symptoms in hairdressers. L. Bradshaw, J. Harris-Roberts, J. Bowen, S. Rahman and D. Fishwick, Centre for Workplace Health, Health and Safety Laboratory, Harpur Hill, Buxton, Derbyshire SK17 9JN, UK[/ref]
While the Dental Research Journal documents that although the though of infectious disease may dominate the thought of the average dentist, it’s the daily grind and stooped posture that will get them in the end.[ref] Dent Res J (Isfahan). 2012 Jan-Mar; 9(1): 2–7. The solution?
Today’s chiropractic is the perfect place to start with posture based problems. Although you can get exercises anywhere, the specific degeneration patterns from poor posture are critical to identify. Just working on exercises will not deal with the structural problems that occur in the spine and that effect the spinal cord.
What you can do to help the people helping you.
So the next time you’re getting your hair styled OR in the dental chair, make sure the person who is helping you knows about today’s neurological and corrective based chiropractic.
Your dentist and their team have spent too many years (and likely a lot of money) for their great education so I would imagine they want to have a long and healthy career without the concerns of back and neck pain, especially when it leads to early onset arthritis and nerve problems.
As for your stylist, as you ladies know (and guys that will admit it), when you find a good stylist you want to keep them. Make sure they know about todays chiropractic because the last thing you want is your stylist off work because of neck, shoulder or wrist problems.
Today’s chiropractic can keep your stylist at work and keeping you beautiful.
Posture may not be something that many people link to spinal arthritis and nerve problems but it’s a 100% certainty that if you compromise your posture long enough, you will break down your spine and interfere with the nerves that run your body.
Your best posture, and today’s chiropractic is the #1 strategy to look and feel your best long term.
Posture may not be sexy, but it is incredibly important.
If you are tired of health strategies that are just scratching the surface: if you want true, authentic, inside out healing, then todays chiropractic is for you.
